Avant Gardening Club is a group of local amateur gardeners who meet up once a month to learn and improve their gardening skills whilst having fun and meeting like-minded people.
The Club usually meets on the second Wednesday of each month. Participants pay per session, plus an optional annual membership fee which entitles regular club members to a discount card (details of which are available from the club secretary when attending Avant Gardening Club sessions).
This month’s session s on Wednesday 13 March and the subject will be planting pots and hanging baskets and top tips for keeping them looking good for as long as possible through successional planting and using plants to extend the season.
The demonstration will be given by Diane Harrison, known from BBC Radio Lancs and her role in a number of local garden centres prior to Avant. She work alongside her twin sister, Anita, in Avant Garden Centre’s plantarea.
If you are interested in coming along, just leave your details for forwarding to the Gardening Club secretary.
