Did you know just a little thought and a few layers of frost fleece could make all the difference to your plants this winter?

Frost fleece helps provided a temperature difference of an extra couple of degrees between the plant and its environment – ideal when overwintering half hardy plants.

You can buy fleece on a roll of 8m by 1.5m (£3.49) or a slightly thicker gauge in a pack of 10m by 1.6m (£8.99) or as a pre-made bag called a plant cosy.  Plant Cosies come in different sizes, in packs of two, starting at £4.99.

NB.  Fleece can provide protection down to -6 degrees C, though many plants do not survive Siberian temperatures below -10 degrees C which is when losses occur.
