As any regular visitor to Avant knows, our Christmas displays are not purely for the children!

Your children may be impressed (or even overwhelmed!) by the Elf-dom that greets them in the entrance, with it’s towers of elf-y faces peering down and it’s shelves of standing, sitting and peeping elves and Santas of all shapes and sizes.

…but while they are distracted by all things red and white, you can take the opportunity to peruse our different Christmas themes – Fruits of the Forest, Balmoral, Woodland, Peacock, Winter Wonderland or Pink ‘n Fluffy.

Get the look by picking up tips from each of the dressed trees then create your own style by choosing all your favourite decorations, baubles and picks.  A good starting point if you haven’t got a pre-lit tree (with inbuilt lights) are the tree lights.  LED’s are by far the easiest solution to Christmas lighting – the annual replacement bulb hunt almost completely eradicated for good these days – and this year’s micro LEDs look so very stylish as well as being more versatile and easier to apply than ever before.

These pretty cascading lights can be placed at the top of the tree so each individual string of micro lights well, does just that – cascades down.  They come in three sizes to fit even larger trees.

The Polar Star lights can be hung in a window or placed in a round vase on a table to great effect.

And although you wouldn’t associate Pink ‘n Fluffy with your traditional Christmas tree, our favourite gift supplier, Gisela Graham, has done a great job of capturing our imagination with her range of felt animal fairies and hanging decs, unicorns and crowned cranes!

The more you wander through the Christmas area, the greater the inspiration so my top tip to you is to come along and give yourself plenty of time to browse.
